The Network of Book Clubs and Reading Culture Promoters in Nigeria, NBRP is hosting an event at the Nigerian International Book Fair in Lagos, Nigeria on May 13, 2022.
With the theme Reading Spaces, Raising Readers, it will feature the presentation of the report of a preliminary survey on the state of reading infrastructure in Nigeria.
States covered in the survey are Abia, Akwa Ibom, Rivers, Lagos and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
The session would hold from 2-4pm at the Harbour Point Events Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The report is billed to be presented by Prof Felicia Etim, University Librarian, Federal University, Otuoke, Bayelsa State
who also doubles as the Chair of the 774 Book Clubs and Libraries Project of the NBRP. Prof Chinwe Anunobi, National Librarian and CEO, National Library of Nigeria is Special Guest of Honour and the reviewer of the report is Dr Nkem Osuigwe, Director, African Libraries Institutions and Associations, AfLIA.
